Regex - Short for Regular Expressions, Regex will help validate the user input. It alerts the user whenever any invalid data is entered and disables the user from submitting data until valid data is entered.
- For example, Employee ID for an Employee Database.
- This ID is unique and say, it has only lower-case alphabetic values.
- Thus, the regex for the Employee ID can be ^[a-z]+$ where:
  - ^ - start of the expression
  - [a-z] - any character in the range of a to z
  - + - matches the previous token i.e [a-z] between one and unlimited times
  - $ indicates end of the expression
